Greater Norwich at MIPIM UK 2017

On the 18th and 19th October, Greater Norwich showcased their investment and development opportunities at MIPIM UK, the country’s largest property exhibition held at the London Olympia, as part of ‘The East’; a combined effort bringing together both Norfolk & Suffolk areas, and hosted by the New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership.

This year’s event follows the success of MIPIM UK in 2016, which led to more than 40 leads for opportunities in Greater Norwich, and a number of positive follow-up meetings.

MIPIM UK was attended by Government representatives and ministers as well as delegates from across the United Kingdom, Europe and the rest of world, with a delegation from China visiting The East’s stand during this year’s event.

Cllr Andrew Proctor, Chair of the Greater Norwich Growth Board, said: “Greater Norwich is thriving and growing fast. We have huge investment opportunities as well as a raft of financial and business support incentives. We want companies at MIPIM UK to invest now and become part of our journey.”

Investors were able to find out more about doing business in Greater Norwich at a networking reception held on the Wednesday afternoon and investment opportunities and case studies across The East were presented at a targeted showcase event on the Thursday.

Officers are now following up around 80 lines of enquiry from potential investors, developers, companies and funding agencies.
